From Horses to Haute Couture: Meet the Texas Rancher Making Waves in Global Fashion!

In the bustling heart of South Texas, a San Antonio woman is shaking up the fashion universe with a style as expansive as the Lone Star State itself! Meet the fabulous Lee Evans Lee—a fifth-generation rancher who's proving that you can absolutely rock both overalls and power suits. As she recounts her childhood, "I learned how to walk, and then they threw me on a horse. I can still see myself in bloomers, bareback."

Lee's fashion journey is utterly fascinating. Growing up amid Dickies and denim, she found her passion for textiles right at home. There was a sense of pride in every tablecloth and hand-pressed linen napkin, which fueled her love for haute couture. But fashion wasn't her initial gig. She was in the healthcare industry until the pandemic turned her world upside down. "I felt like we had to pick comfort or luxury in our wardrobe. There was no middle ground, so I wanted to merge the two," she declared.

Armed with a vision, Lee crafted a clothing line that seamlessly blends ranch life with runway glamour. During late-night lockdown hours, she sketched designs that combined Texas flair with high-performance materials like spandex and nylon. A proud Texan, she made sure the label read, “Made in Texas.”

Come 2022, the launch of Mrs. Momma Bear Workwear marked a stylish revolution, offering pieces that are as practical for a ranch as they are chic for a night out on the town. Her designs encapsulate the spirit of the American Dream—something Lee holds dear. To top it all off, Lee wrapped up 2024 with monumental feats, including a much-talked-about debut at New York Fashion Week and a feature in Vogue. "I stare at this and still can't believe I'm in there," she confesses. Her brand has even made waves in Paris!

Even as global accolades pour in, Lee Evans Lee remains down-to-earth, infusing her values into every stitch and seam. Her creations are, above all, "made with love."
