Los Angeles Fashion Week wrapped up in style at the iconic W Hollywood Hotel with an edition still "under construction." This year's fashion spectacle packed in six runway shows and a multitude of presentations, exhibitions, and performances that drew audiences from every generation to indulge in an ultimate fashion frenzy!
The second day kicked off with a Hollywood-style extravaganza by the bold and colorful BruceGlen brand. Their collection, 'Runaway Out of the Blue,' was nothing short of electrifying, with a gospel performance that literally set the stage on fire! But wait, that wasn't all—they threw in a mind-bending contortionist act before unveiling a fashion galore that was a visual feast of fluorescent colors and eclectic graphic effects. Talk about making a splash in the fashion ocean!
And then came the Ed Hardy extravaganza that stole the show, hands down! On the hotel's sleek rooftop, attendees witnessed the brand celebrating its 20th anniversary in style. The crowd was a wild mix of long-time loyalists and fresh fans, all sporting Don Ed Hardy's iconic tattoo designs. Creative Director Kevin Christiana didn't hold back, unveiling the brand's most sophisticated luxury collection yet, all while paying tribute to the legendary tattoo artist Don Ed Hardy.
With young and stunning models strutting to Depeche Mode beats, the collection was nothing short of a fashion rebellion—think faux-leather pants, ultra-sexy tattoo-embroidered tops, and daring accessories. It's safe to say the collection perfectly encapsulated that edgy rock and tattoo identity!
Shining a light on fresh talent, the likes of the House of Aama label emerged as a force of connected fashion, with a spectacular collection brimming with Caribbean roots and Los Angeles jazz vibes. Not to mention, established labels like Head of State captivated the fashion crowd with innovative exhibits before finally taking a bow with a thrilling mixer at Amoeba Music, the legendary Hollywood music shrine.
Otis College of Art and Design didn’t disappoint either, showcasing eye-popping designs from its top students! And for those nostalgic at heart, a screening of 'The Times of Bill Cunningham'—the legendary street photographer—had the mature crowd enthralled, narrated by none other than Sarah Jessica Parker.
Los Angeles Fashion Week, held between November 13 and 15, delivered its dose of glitz, glam, and all things fabulous.
